Fees shown are for a typical engagement. Final fees depend on the size and complexity of your business and the scope agreed, and are confirmed in writing before work begins. For early-stage companies, part of the fee can be structured as equity.

Advisory scope and responsibilities

  • Advisory includes preparation, brief meeting notes, and one consolidated revision per deliverable.
  • Your team owns execution.
  • All ongoing advisory services require a minimum 6-month commitment.

Examples of advisory deliverables

A decision brief, a vendor comparison, a focused financial review, a role outline, a leadership communication, a KPI scorecard, a 90-day action plan. Deliverables are agreed in advance.

SKOPE's approach to facilitation

Combining big-picture thinking with practical follow-through, SKOPE's approach draws on EOS, Patrick Lencioni's work on organizational health, Robert Cialdini's ethical influence principles, Matthew Kelly's Dream Manager, and David Avrin's work on customer experience and reducing friction.

These perspectives inform how SKOPE helps teams build trust, clarify accountability, develop people, and turn decisions into action.

Advisory does not include embedded leadership, day-to-day management or unlimited execution. Those responsibilities belong to Fractional Executive Leadership, agreed individually.

Independent 503A compounding pharmacy

Business advisory for independent compounding pharmacies

Independent compounding pharmacies face a particular mix of margin pressure, operational complexity and growth decisions. SKOPE brings more than eight years of experience on the business side of compounding pharmacy. SKOPE's focus is the business of pharmacy, not clinical practice.

In a compounding pharmacy, ingredient and labor costs, purchasing terms and shipping habits all affect margin. SKOPE considers these together with staffing capacity and the experience of prescribers and patients, rather than treating each as an isolated issue.

A new service, license or location also needs a financial and operational case. SKOPE helps weigh the investment against real workload, vendor capability and the systems needed to support it.

For clients across all industries

Evaluating operational AI and automation

AI is one option, not a default answer. SKOPE helps you evaluate workflow fit, how exceptions are handled, what vendors can really do, the implementation and oversight required, and the financial case. Time saved only matters when it becomes realized value: lower costs, avoided hiring or capacity your team actually uses.

Questions

Business advisory FAQs

How do I know if SKOPE is the right fit?

SKOPE works best with an accountable decision-maker who can share relevant information, is open to having assumptions tested, and has the resources to act. A first conversation is the easiest way to find out.

Which option should I start with?

If you have one clear priority, or want to see how SKOPE works, SKOPE One is a natural start. If you want an ongoing partner, choose the advisory level that matches how many priorities you're carrying. If you're unsure, schedule a conversation and SKOPE will help you work it out.

Do I have to continue after SKOPE One?

No. SKOPE One stands on its own. Some clients continue into advisory; there's no obligation to.

Who does the implementation?

Your team owns execution in SKOPE One and all advisory options. SKOPE provides perspective, analysis and agreed deliverables. Executive responsibility for a function is only part of Fractional Executive Leadership, which is scoped separately.

Do you ever take equity as part of the fee?

Sometimes, with early-stage companies. Part of the monthly fee can be replaced with equity under a separate advisory agreement, agreed in writing before work begins. Pharmacy engagements are always a flat fee.

What information will you need?

It depends on the priority. Typically a short list of agreed materials, such as recent financial summaries, process descriptions or vendor information. SKOPE confirms what's needed before work starts. Please don't send confidential documents through the website form.

Do you work virtually?

Yes. SKOPE is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA and works with clients across the United States, primarily through virtual meetings.

How do I begin?

Schedule a conversation using the booking calendar, or send an inquiry and SKOPE will follow up.
